When people ask me to perform gauge restoration work ,I do have a lot of correspondence before and also during the restoration work with photos of progress so they can follow along and see how things unfold. Once they get the gauges back however, a lot of time they fail to notify me they received them and how they think the restoration work looks in person.
Usually I have to assume since I did not hear anything they did receive them and all was ok, as if they did not or had an issue, I'd be hearing fast enough about it.
So, it was quite refreshing to receive this message from a customer who recently had work done to their GT750 gauges.

From a customer in Australia:

Hi Allan, Gauges arrived today, extremely happy with the craftsmanship of your work, the attention to detail is unbelievable, the packing of the gauges insured they arrived safe. Thank you for a great job, your communication has been fantastic over the time you had my gauges for restoration. Again heart filled thank you for a great restoration of my gt750 gauges, I hope the rest of my gt750 restoration can achieve the level of craftsmanship you have put into my gauges. cheers (name withheld)

Thanks Eric, I've had lots of gauges sent to me and some people just don't pack them correctly. So to keep things in good shape, I've actually had to tell them how to position and pack the gauges in a box so I don't have any issues when they arrive..
This came about when a set of gauges came to me with the cable spigot from one gauge pushed into another ones faceplate, thereby ruining that gauge.
Obviously on the return trip, now the gauges are restored I have to be even more careful with packing so they are properly cushioned and protected from any damage.
