Look at the detailing in the rear body panels with the compound curves, thats amazing workmanship . It would (no pun intended) be interesting to see it completed and actually driving.

The Germans developed a wooden jet fighter in WWII. One of the cable channels had a show about it.

Fortunately the war ended before it went into production. Looks like it might have been good enough to be a game changer.

That wasn't the only German jet fighter built of wood - Heinkel had the "Volksjäger":

Which did make it into an operating squadron if only for a month or so.

Per the tv show, the Horten design team started work on a long range bomber. Show wasn't explicit about it but I think it was also to be built of wood. The design purpose was to fly from Germany to the US & drop an atomic bomb.

The US had the largest wood plane. The "Spruce Goose" had a wingspan of ~ 321 ft. Flown only once in 1947.
