Sometimes you wonder

A true story:
I walk into a Walgreens store this week to buy some batteries and bottled water. I'm the only customer at the counter which is manned by an east Indian man.
So as I hand him the goods he asks (in a heavy Indian accent), did you find everything you were looking for, to which I replied 'yes'.
Then as he is ringing up the items, he says 'We have a special on candies and chocolates' and points to a large basket filled with loads of confectionery sitting on the counter. I briefly looked over at the items and said 'no thanks', to which he then points to another sign and says 'would you like to donate to the 'Find a cure for Diabetes' fund raiser'.
I did a double take and looking at him jokingly exclaimed 'how do you think they got that way in the first place if you're selling all of this chocolate and candy on special!
