my EBay fees are way to high for around £300 I paid nearly £60 not to mention paypal fees to.
so I was wondering if its possible just to advertise on ebay and cut my cost?
I have notice that some EBay user put 99p for a nut but advertise other stuffs to on the same page.
so the question is would I get away with it?? has any one else done this??

Hi John......it does seem ebay fees have taken a hike just of late. I had completed around 3000 transactions on there when the fees were more tollerable, but now, they are just down right rude. Ebay has the monopoly and they don't need you......so it's a like it or lump it attitude.
Fortunately, due to sound google promotion, our website gets enough hits now, so we don't use ebay unless we need to. We will shortly complete our Gt750 exhaust systems, and will probably put them on ebay to start with, to get the attention initially.
UK ebay carries advanced software that prevents you including web site addresses in your listing.....I guess it recognises www, or .com or something, however, I have gotten over this by using 3w's....and .con instead.........if the ebay police see it, you will get it removed, and if you persist, you will lose your account. We have advertised our Titan products overseas, and inluded the web address no problem. Another way, is to include contact details in one of your pictures. When we sold our 500 pipes on there, we took a close up of our sticker on the tail pipe, which icluded our website address. Customers did contact us directly.
Obviously you should take advantage of free listing days, and if you know the item will make it's money, then start it at 99p....it's cheaper, though sometimes scarey !
Many years ago I listed some satnavs.....they owed me £120 each, and I started them a 99p no reserve.....that was scarey, but they were a hot seller at the time, and the cheapest went for £150. Sadly, it's the final value fees that hurt, and there is no way round those. Just try a couple of the little tricks above, and maybe you will get more than one sale per listing.
Good luck...
