Lizzie's lovely dog Chloe was beautifully behaved, well trained and obedient. Until recently. Chloe would now ignore every command, would never sit when she was told, stayed sniffing in the bushes as Lizzie whistled furiously for her to come. In desperation Lizzie went to the vet, who settled her anxiety immediately.

"It's quite normal" said the vet, "for this breed to become almost deaf at this age as hair grows really thickly within the ears. He carefully trimmed back all the fur in both ears, and the dog could then hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell her that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the pharmacist and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.

At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days."

Lizzie said "I'm not using it under my arms."

The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't shave for a couple of days."

"I'm not using it on my legs either." explained Lizzie.... "If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer."

The pharmacist says, "Well you'd better stay off your bicycle for about a week, then."
