Had a guy round this afternoon wanting a rack for his LC 350 yam.
spent an hour explaining all the pro's and cons on get second hand racks and grab rails.
what looks to be minor rust etc but once it is dipped in acid bath it will look
10 times worse, I have three racks here re-chromed that didn't look to bad.
certainly open his eyes.
time came to the cost!
I quoted £70/£80 he balked at that!
I said why do you think I need your bike for a full day ,its not a 5 minute job.
and there's a cost of chroming to which I have no control.
and he said he seen then on ebay for £30 to £50.
then go and buy the bugger then then coz you will not be getting it off me for that price.
and I stated that one offs I normally charge £100.....
gee he said he cannot get one all ways getting beaten by other bidders.
no wonder the daft bugger never wins.
the last time I looked on ebay for one of them went for £70 and it was in need of rechroming.
me think he was trying to pull a fast one.
if he comes back he is in for a shock!!!
