It was a brilliant day, wasn't it? The queues to get across the bridge to the paddock were HUGE so I didn't bother, but it was fantastic to see Granty, Roberts and Baker on track, not to mention Stan Woods' TR750 which sounded great.

I timed Mick Grant on a couple of laps, he did two 50-second laps in a row, which is bloody quick for a parade   The only guy who was faster was Terry Rymer on the Duckhams Norton rotary, he did a 49s!

Lovely to see Baker and Roberts winding it up too. That OW31 of Baker's was SO quick, he was just p-i-s-s-i-n-g past everyone on the back straight, until he caught Kenny that is, and Kenny was NOT going to let anyone get away from him

At an Oliver's Mount meeting a few years back, I was chatting to Tommy Robb about parading. He said everyone goes out with the intention of just having a canter around, then someone would go past, the old red mist would descend and he would think "I'm not having that" and wind it on

Hey Mick - we rode down on the Buell - busiest day I've ever experienced at Mallory - we're normally there for the CRMC meetings where there are six or seven bikes in the park!

Seeing & hearing Ago, Read et al at full chat again was wonderful... and I'd forgotten just how special those Norton Rotaries sounded when let off the lead. Great day - but the ride home in a summer monsoon wasn't so much fun!

Took a few photos and one terrific video myself - I'll try to get them organised & uploaded tonight. 8)

Likewise, Digger -- I went to the Post TT meet a few times, most recently a couple of years ago, which also had Ago, Coop, Phil Read, Redman etc and the crowd was less than half of what it was on Sunday.

I've never seen it so busy at Mallory. I got some video of Ago & Coop, and of John Hobbs doing a burnout on the Hobbit. Only 300bhp though :wth:
