Thats a rider going at a level way above his talent, bad entry lines and trying to keep up to his buddies are putting him in a ever increasing situation of an impending accident.
Most people corner better to the left which you can see he does from his lines, but these same people always go wide when turning to the right as speeds pick up, which he also does.
He brakes back to about 80 way before the bend so its not like he had an issue entering it, its just that with his ability he could not handle that corner at that speed picking that line.
The good thing is he took an even wider line to the shoulder to avoid the head on collision, call it luck or call it panic.
Was it a lesson learned, probably not, why are people racing on a mountain road anyways, not too smart.

Yes he is trying too hard. Do you see the tar lines? I think he was feeling this tires wash a bit on the tar and was trying to avoid them. he was riding at 100 feet instead of the 100 yards he should have been. We don't know the circumstances of this ride. All we know is he is alive to tell his story.
