Sandblasting question??

Post by jkevinlilly »

I am looking at buying cheap sandblasting equiptment to clean off 30+ years of oxidized crud from a GT550. I have an air source, but am looking for recommendations on equiptment. I figure Harbor Freight is the way to go, but advice on any other options is welcome. :)

Just from personal use of blasting equipment i would base your purchase on how much you plan on useing it . I went the way of Harbor freight as i only do the once in a while blasting and there supplies do the job , now if it was equipment i was useing every day i would up for better stuff .
the older i get the faster i was

HF pressure feed blaster, siphon feed sucks(ha), they have different size blasters, I bought a middle size one like 40lbs capacity I think. Definitely throw away the ball valve and replace with their deadman valve as the ball valve will start leaking after a few uses.
