Price of gas?

Post by Cliff »

The price of gas here in Toronto today is $1.376/litre! Doing the conversion to US gallons and with the exchange rate, that works out to about $5.00 US/gal. for regular fuel!! What are you paying for gas where you are?

I see this thread is now at Sundial after being around many other bike forums, so it will be interesting to see the results from members here.
Barbados is now serving gasoline at approx $16.00 a gallon local currency, and there's only one grade available. Its supposed to be 87 RON but I seriously doubt it.
For a US conversion rate which is pointless since a dollar is a dollar regardless of the countries exchange rate, it works out at $8.00 USD a gallon.
You never get the highway cycle mileage here so your MPG is always at the city figures, its the worst of both worlds really.
Theres no place that can beat this price I know of unless its some war torn country or has an "inflation gone wild' issue such as in Zimbabwe.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

$2.25 per litre in the UK right now, or over TEN DOLLARS per (imperial) gallon  ... of course, we get bigger gallons over here, and it's certified 95 octane minimum. A small consolation.

Successive UK governments have always seen motorists as easy pickings, so better than 60% of the price we pay at the pump is tax, comprising fuel duty AND sales tax

$3.82 a gallon at Costco in South Florida and I think that’s outrageous!

$1.15 CDN/litre seems to be the cheapest price for regular here in Calgary today, so about $4.17 USD/US gallon. Premium is about $1.30 CDN/Litre or about $4.71 USD/US gallon.

Still holding at $3.99 per US gallon. Not for long I'll bet.Don't forget to factor in your vehicles though. Here in the US and I'm sure Canada we still like our gas guzzlers. My new 4wd Chevy Silverado averages 13-13 1/2 MPG around town which I do most of my driving. Now on the hiway it can get around 21 MPG when not climbing the mountains as the 323HP V8 pulls some electronic wizardry and becomes a not so thirsty V4. Nice watching the dash readout saying you're getting 30-40 MPG for stretches of hiway.

Gas is ranging from $3.74-$3.80 for 87 in these parts. On my trip to Columbus Oh last week it was $4.19 a gallon from Ashland Kentucky North to Columbus.Wish it would get Cheaper.Although my Ford F150 gets 15-18 MPG it's still hurting BAD while trying to work.I only work 3 miles away from Home but I still cover over 340 Miles a week between Jobs.

Our petrol has just hit its highest point ever here in NZ. 91 octane sells for $NZ 2.21 per litre and 95 is even more. Once you do the appropriate conversion, it comes out to some unseemly cost per gallon I think. I'm hoping that the GT750 returns ok mileage as the H1A almost requires a seperate mortgage in order to run the beast  :)

8.35 $ peur US gallon here…
2.2 $ per liter, but 95 is the minimum. 98 or a 100 is more expensive.

Riding the Mach III H1 to my parent's place (65km one-way) is more costly thn taking the train/public transport!

Gas here from Sam's warehouse is about $3.68 per gallon. I like my 43 to 45 mpg GT500!!!! I use it as my daily driver to work and run errands on, unless it is large items or a lot of items to carry, then I take my Corolla. So for me, I average $11.00 per week in gas.

The Gas Gods are laughing at us today! This week the price spiked to $1.41/litre! On the night before the price went up by .06/L there were line ups at all the stations! Can you imagine the profit they made on gas sales for that ONE day!! Now the price drops to 132.5!! Pity the poor SOB's who bought gas at it's highest, they got kicked in the onions!!
Anyway you look at it, we all got played for suckers!!
