I thought I'd cleared it

An Airbus A380 taxiing at JFK clips the tail of a CRJ. From the video this CRJ is pretty well built, since the tail was able to take the hit and swing the whole plane around without severing it.

And I bet the A380 pilot didn't even feel the bump.
Bet that cost a bob or two to check out and fix.

Well I'm sure the 380 pilot didn't feel a thing. As for costs? the upgraded winglets for a Boeing 757 are around forty thousand each, not including fitting.
So the 380 ones are a composite unit and substantially bigger, and obviously way more expensive that that figure.
I dont have figures for the rear tail structure portion that was damaged on the CRJ. However the damage of that aircraft seems to be mostly in the area of the rear central tail support just under the stabilizers.
