Terrorist flips out

How to arrest a terrorist: The Spanish way

The correct way to arrest a terrorist. This is how
the police in Spain deal with this guy! If this happened
in the USA , the cops would all be suspended and fired.
The terrorist would get a lawyer, a new motorcycle,
and $500,000 compensation

This incident took place in Spain. Apparently the
Spanish police agreed to placate a 'bank hostage'
situation by allowing the radical to 'escape'
uninhibited. He was allowed to walk out of the
bank in the company of 2 hostages. The police
provided him with a motorcycle and free access
to the motorcycle. Then, leaving the hostages
behind, he was permitted to ride away down a
clear roadway to make his 'escape.' This whole
incident, shown on CBS television, complete with
news reporting in English, can be seen on this
55-second video clip.

The concluding few seconds of this video show
the result of the Spanish planning.

I guess it would have been better if the guy broke his neck......but these things seldom work out perfectly.
Hostage taking is the same as kidnapping, IMO, and kidnapping is right down there with child molestation, as crimes go.

That's an old one. (2006)

I cannot believe this B/S thread or the tone of it.

We really want police or anyone else to think that the right way to stop a motorcycle is to crash into the rider? There are enough ways to stop a motorcycle that do not include potentially killing or crippling the rider.

IMO the police were totally justified in stopping THIS particular motorcycle in this fashion. The rider had already forfeited his rights to fair and just treatment when he took hostages in his attempt to escape. I wouldn't have shed any tears if he HAD been killed during his escape attempt. Let's worry about the victims for a change INSTEAD OF the criminal.

I am amazed at the responses. Let me see if I can sum up the outcomes:

So when a cop knocks you off your bike to stop you, we should applaud and laugh? Is that what we are saying?

Or if a cop or citizen thinks it's a smart way to stop some speeding reckless motorcyclist because that's a crime, that's OK too?

Seems to me we believe that when idiots spread that sort of video around, it just becomes easier to justify the action in other circumstances.

Richard calm down and relax, it was sent to me and I posted it up for the member who asked me to sort it out for them, to the board.
Its not about the bike, its about how they trapped the criminal who thought he was getting away.
If he had asked for a car or even a bicycle they would have probably T boned him as well the same way. The video shows him being caught by any means they thought was unique and a future deterrent to anyone trying something similar.

I'm perfectly calm, just a little surprised at the whole thing. Of course labeling it as "Terrorist" was a good start to work up a certain emotional response, which wasn't necessarily your choice of words, but you chose to pass it on that way.

Enough already let's get back to bikes.

just joking ya daft bat .
I've been on here long enough for folks to know what I'm like.
by what I've written above is just a British sense of humour.
if you care to look on a UK forums this goes on regular bases but it doesn't turn nasty.
I'm sure Chris(TZ) and Allan knows that.
I'll help any folks on here,if parts in the UK or Europe and not willing to ship to the USA ,you guys know where to look.I've often offered to to do this at no extra cost from me.
so don't be so insular and narrow minded. if you can't have a friendly banter to lighten things up then what the point.
I can assure you I do not deliberately set out to incite trouble.
the only time I say any thing bad to another person is when they are not so pleasant to me.it work both ways.
if you don't like what I say then don't read my post its simple as that.
