In the campground office building at Sparwood B.C this past summer, Rick and I noticed this gem of an idea in the mens bathroom by the sinks.
We killed ourselves laughing and wondered what this person was smoking when they installed this hand soap dispenser.

Just a guess but if it was a public bathroom (versus a bathroom in a rental cabin) they were thinking they would keep people from loitering in the bathroom to charge up their various devices....

"Hey Betty, I think I solved our high electric bill problems. Look where I put that soap dispenser. That'll teach them hippies with their ipods!"

Then again it could have been a drunken moron with a cordless screwdriver....

Doesn't Surprise me a Bit. I fix Mistakes like that on a regular basis.it would have been so easy to Cut the Power at the Breaker and actually turn the Box until it could have been mounted so the Plug in was facing forward But Hey why Lose sight of a Perfectly good Ghost busters Sticker.You know those don't pop up everyday anymore.

Jug, you want to re-orient the outlet when you should take the soap dispenser off the wall and use it to beat the crap out of the idiot who put it there.
Just for fun, I hope we can pass there this summer and see if its still the same way after a year.

True on that Allan. But whoever Put it up probably wouldn't Feel anything by Being beat with it because more than Likely they were dropped on their heads Enough that it wouldn't have any Educational Effects.

In my Situation........ Call them an idiot,Call the Boss to OK the Modification,Fix it,Get paid for Some other Idiots mistake. Usually I get paid less for doing it right the Second time than they got paid for doing it wrong in the first place.Never Fails.Even if it does take me twice as long to do it the Second Time.

Just for fun, I hope we can pass there this summer and see if its still the same way after a year.

Allan, I can almost guarantee that it'll still be like that TEN YEARS from now. Remember, that's a town-owned campground so it would take a town bylaw passed by the council to get it changed......and then the whole process would have to be investigated/approved all through the bureaucracy.
Of course, moving the soap dispenser instead of the electrical outlet is NOT an option. It's waaayyyy too simple a solution.

If it's a bathroom you can occupy privately for a few minutes, take along a cordless screwdriver and move it on your next visit. Then each year after move it again to a totally different spot..... See how long it takes you to get to the ceiling.....
