This really happened....
Years ago I was working in a Chevy dealership, I had the bay next to a good friend of mine. I was walking across the shop with a big ball peen hammer in my hand and as I walked by the car he was working on, for some silly reason I reached up and smacked the tire with the hammer. I swear the hammer bounced back faster than I had swung it, and hit me right between the eyes, dropping me to my knees! My "buddy" just looked down at me and said, "Poor little dumbsh*t".
