Suzuki 2 Strokes

I picked up a used, but never ran, 10 kW (35000 btu/hr) electric heater and ran a welding circuit to the garage to power it off of.

It puts out enough to raise the temperature 5 degrees F in 15 minutes for my three stall garage. I have to find some insulation for the attic and wall. I'm still not sure why the previous owner drywalled without installing a vapor barrier or insulating.

I'm pretty happy with it, and I know the project bikes will be better off for it. Especially now that its pitch black at 5:30 pm...

Nice Arne, I have the bullet/torpedo forced air style I think it's 55K BTU, although I haven't near the cold winters you have.

That must be one powerful unit for its size, I had one of similar size used in Canada but it didnt give me the tropical heat factor.

you will be able to do toaste and everything on that.

I've always liked those knipco style heaters, but my wife thinks I'll kill myself with gas fumes (seems like there are always one or two people who take the long sleep every winter in ice fish houses in MN)

Electrical heat is nice in alot of ways, size is one of them. Of course the main drawback is that it costs substantially more to run than a gas burner.

We're looking at a 1 megawatt heater (about 3.4 million btu/hr) heater on the inlet of a wind tunnel, so mine certainly isn't the biggest they make either (I wouldn't want to pay the bill on that one, but they're the power company so I suppose they don't care too much).
