easy just drill a hole through the runners and pad lock it.

Thats a great idea if you plan a trip or something but there is another video showing just run a Zip tie thru that release lever so it cannot be tripped from the outside but you can still use the emergency open by cutting the tie .

Mine has a bar that locks into the runners by turning a lever. I used to never lock it, but since I saw that video a couple of months ago, it's never left unlocked!

a pair of welding clamp vice grips on the chanel right above one of the roller wheels will prevent the door from being opened, just put the clamps on only when your not in the garage,

Who needs a garage door lock? Just work on your bike in the dining room, and lock the front door when you leave.

Seriously, I don't even have a garage. But the shed the bikes are in is locked when I am away for more than a day or so. Discourages the lazy and the honest from a life of crime. Beyond that, I leave it up to insurance.

Hmmm....that would really only work IF the thief can SEE the trip lever through the window(s) in the door. My garage has NO windows precisely because I don't want people looking into it.
I suppose a thief MAY eventually get lucky with the coat hanger if there are no windows to look through....but it'll be a heckuva lot longer than 6 seconds, IMO.
Nonetheless, a bolt/nut or carabiner or c-clamp through the wheel track stops the wide boys from ANY kind of tricks......except sawing out a panel in the bottom of the door.

right Rick. I also thought just frosting the glass would pretty much solve that problem and still let daylight in. Peronsally I don't have windows on my doors either.
