A Newbie

Hey
Just wanted to say hi. I joined about a month ago, lurk on occasion, but this is my first post.
I bought a 75 GT750 a couple of months ago off ebay, it's in reasonable condition, but I haven't had the time as yet to check it out completely, to see what needs doing. But it started with not much problems, a few dents and dings, but it looks good to go.
When I get a chance and some spare cash, I will pull it down and go over it with a fine tooth comb.
But I have it, it's mine!

Sounds like good project, look forward to seeing some pics and updates.

Did you have it shipped or was the seller close enough to you to go and pick the bike up? Mine was from Michigan, and I had it shipped.

Thanks Mark, glad you liked my avatar. I couldn't figure it out so one of the admins had to help me re-size it and post.
Stroker, I know I've asked before, but here it goes again, where in Florida are you? I have a friend who works on vintage bikes who might be able to help you with your bike.

Hi ya'll
Sorry, I haven't checked back in since my post.
Joiseygirl, I'm in Miami.
Yeah it's a cracker of a bike, but except for a few times going over at my friend's garage and admiring and stroking it, I just haven't had the chance to do anything with it as yet - too damn hot, no times and the usual, no money.

But I should be getting some holidays in December, so I'm gonna pull everything down and see what I need to do.

Get help yanking the motor unless you LIKE going to the chiropractor. I weighed my motor while it was out. 160 lbs. with no handles. Optionally, lay it down on the lawn and remove the frame from the motor.
