T20

Post by johnakay »

had a look at one today,it is also known as a super 6.
the guy has given me a drawing which was done years ago. the paper is so old and dry a little spark would have it up in flames.
the measurments are mostly unreadable but the frame(drawn) is the correct size etc
it is exactly the same as Suzuki original rack to fit the T20.
once I've made it I will test it out on the guys T20.
so another to my collections.

he also had a 250 racer what a little cracker
on the engine case's he had perspex cover so that he can see the timing marks etc also had a rather large mesh bell mouth on both carbs ,petroil mix to!the body work is in crooks Suzuki style. both bikes nice!

John,

If you ever made one for a T250, it should also fit the T20. I sent you pics a while ago with a few different racks.

not necessarily spike.
the one I looked at did not have any lugs etc to fit indicators.
so the rear mount is different to the normal(later 250's).
just a bolt that hold the rear fender and this is about 1" difference.
and according to the chap who I got the drawings off said that some early T20 and T250 did not have indicators nor is there a place to fit them!
so we learn some thing new every day.

as for pics spike you never sent any ,even though you said you will!

John....I have seen very, very few T20s with turn signals. As I remember; (I assembled them out of crates 45 years ago); 66s, 67s, and 68s did not have indicators. I have 14 T20s and two TC250s, and not a single turn signal indicator. I would venture a guess that if an indicator is present on 66-68 models, it's been added through the years. IMHO!!

the T20 had indicators for our market, small ones we call lolly pop, on the rear they are mounted into the guard, or fender as you might say.

Here is a link to one I have a few years back, top pic, only small but you can still make out the indicator.

The race bike lower is one I have currently.
