And how to post pictures.

Attachments allow users to upload files and attach them to their post.

To add an attachment, find the Upload attachment section of the posting page and click the Browse button (it's below the post window. A comment may be placed in the File comment text box. Clicking Add the file will upload and attach the file to the post. To upload multiple files, repeat the process.

To delete an attachment, find the Posted attachments section of the posting page and click teh Delete file button for the desired attachment.

Attachments can be displayed within the post text by clicking the Place inline button for the desired attachment. When an attachment is placed inline, text similar to a BBCode is inserted into the post text so that it may be moved. If an attachment is not placed inline, it will be displayed at the end of the post.

Attachments are controlled by a set of restrictions, namely file size and file type.

File Size: The maximum file size for uploaded files is set by the Administrator. The current size is 750kb.

File Type: The types of files allowed for upload are restricted by their file extension. The allowed extensions are set by the Administrator. They are jpg and gif.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

This is all very nice, but......750 kb ?? Is that per pic....or per post...or what ??

As well, I noticed this morning that I've now got to jump through some kind of hoop that makes me identify a series on pictures before I can log in. What's with that ?? Will I have to do this every time I log in ??

Really? I set that for new regsitrations, and I am not seeing it when I log in. I'll try to see what's happening and causing that for you.

That's 750kb per attachment.

I just logged out and logged in, it did not ask me to work through any picture ID. Be sure when you log in, you select "Keep me logged in".

you select "Keep me logged in".
No can do, Scorch. Non-members have access to this machine and I wouldn't want them to be messing around on ANY boards I hang out on....and neither would the members of those various boards.
As well, I do log on from other machines occasionally as well.
It seems that that picture identifying routine has only happened that one time so all is copacetic now. Fingers crossed.....

I find it easy to use the IMG box just above the box for posting the message , get a link to the photo off Photobucket .. click on the img box and paste the link between the 2 img boxes .

How does one reduce the size of their file to allow a pic that is the acceptable size??
