Had a good couple days riding WV roads during the days, and partying at night with the Honda Magna Crowd. Only down side was on Saturday when one of the guys hit some gravel in a turn, went down, and cracked 6 ribs. Other than a broken clutch lever, the bike just had some cosmetic damage. Due to a low/old battery I had to use Pinky's kickstarter instead of the electric one. They thought that was facinating, and kept discussing why in the world manufacturers took kick starts off of bikes. Pinky got the meet plaque for Best Non Magna. :D

So now there is a group of Honda owners scattered across the US and Canada who have new appreciation for old street bikes that blow out blue smoke.

For anybody that has wondered if a bike trip to my part of WV is worth it, check out

One of the guys from the Magna meet posted several pages of photos with subtitles of the meet showing some highlights. I think yours truly and Pinky show up around page 4.

Wow, mostly Super Magnas on that list. I had a '94 VF750 before I bought my ST1100. Loved the Magna, but put the money toward the touring bike.

Yes, those Supers are sexy looking bikes to me with the up-swept exhaust. Don't know why Honda can't put something like that out today other than their boring designs.

It's based on the V4 Interceptor engine, but tuned more for torque and cruising. Reliable as a stone axe.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

Holy crap i didnt know it was legal to pile your stuff up that high on the back of a bike. Thats almost like a pagoda pile of bits begging to tilt to a side.
Nice bikes those Magnas but its a 'V' and im not a 'V' person, John think of a mid 80s Sabre without all the issues,LOL
However i have been thinking of getting an unmolested interceptor one of these days purely for its iconic value.
I saw a beautiful example in Canada last year at Kitchener B.C and it was super clean.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

Of course, the Sabre didn't get to the Uk either.

The Magna is first gen VFR750 motor in a "custom" chassis. Much like all the oddities of the time with stepped seat and black and gold color scheme. The only two that looked OK were Honda's Magna and the Fazer from Yamaha. Both used a sportbike motor in a street custom package that made them street rods.
