IMD piston clearance

IMD piston clearance
I got my IMD + 1.0 mm pistons for the 74 GT550. Suggested clearance for the bore is 0.0015 inches. This seems a little tight. They have not answered my query about this. Has anyone else used these with such a small clearance?
