I am finding GT550 parts a little difficult to source.
The right crank outer seal is listed as 09289-32004 which seems almost impossible to find. It is listed as 32x62 in Partzilla. I have found a seal that lists the above number as well as 09289-32001 as being applicable. Is this a usable substitute?
Thanks Dave

Re: GT550 crank seal clarification
Must admit, in the past I have just taken my dud cranks to a crank resusitator and they come back sorted.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Re: GT550 crank seal clarification
Per the old printed parts manual on https://www.oldjapanesebikes.com/mraxl_ ... /index.php
09289-32001 was the part # for J-L models.
I have the printed manual for K-B models purchased from the New Zealand eBay seller.
09289-32001 was for L-B models.
The other number probably is related to an inventory simplification done after these bikes were manufactured.

Re: GT550 crank seal clarification
Great. Thank you.
I have saved the parts manual. As usual with my Kawasaki searches, thank you to Dale, mraxl. He has saved me again.
As an aid to others, I found too late, of course, PJMotorcycle Engineering who had crank bearing sets as well as seal sets. Too bad I saw the seals set after going all over ebay and having to order seals, and pay shipping, to 3 different vendors..
Oh well, it's only money.....
