Hi there ,
I hail from Sydney Australia.
I have just purchased a unrestored GT 550 J.
It is running and mostly complete except for a few missing pieces.
I started out in 1972 with a Suzuki AC50 which I regularly blew up ( insatiable appetite for pistons ).
I then progressed to a Honda 125 and then to a Suzuki GSX.
After a gap of about 30 years I bought a Royal Enfield Interceptor and now I will be venturing into restoring the GT 550.

Re: Introduction
Welcome Chris. I have 3 running GT55Os currently - J, A, B, - plus a M for winter resto.
If you look here - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12751&hilit=Yeti - that's my J resto which may be handy, or this thread on kettleclinic forum (free!) - https://www.kettleclinic.co.uk/kcforum/ ... hilit=Yeti
My other rebuilds , Earwig, Anna and an earlier K (slow starting) can be found on KC forum if you use the search.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
