I know he hasn't posted for ages, but I remember he lived in/near the harbour in Beirut as I hoped to visit him with some spares some time ago, but the cruise was rerouted away from the Lebanon/Israel part of the Mediterranean for some reason... 
But if he's still about, hopefully he's ok after the explosion there.
