scissors lifts vs expansion chambers

Post by jabcb »

Have a nice scissor lift with adjustable adapters. Was a bit of bummer that the adjustable adapters do not extend enough to get past the 3-into-3 expansion chambers & reach the frame of my GT380.

Recently picked up another scissor lift, the Black Widow BW-PLHD ProLift.

The adjusters aren’t adjustable, but two different lengths are provided. The longer one provides about 1/4” clearance to the lowest expansion chambers.
If you go this route, make sure to use tie down straps at the front to provide stability.

I found a similar problem with my jack too. I just use my centre stand now. It took a lot of modification to clear the centre expansion chamber.

I just cuss and struggle..........
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

I had the same issue, I put a couple of nuts in the tube to raise the height of the adapters.
