Site bandwidth issues at end of each month

Could it be a possibility for members to consider donating to fix this issue. Just throwing this out there for discussion. Seems like the max bandwidth is reached with several days left in the month with full lock out until the new month begins. I would be willing to make a nominal donation if this goal could be sought after.

That’s what the Suzuki GS forum does. I contribute to that site & would be willing to do the same here.

This site also limits how many searches you can do back to back. The donation $$$ eliminates that problem of the GS forum.

I'd be in as well. This forum has certainly been a valuable resource to me over the years. Possibly a designated Admin could PM interested members with a name and address to send a check... or Paypal link..?

Yes a great idea. How much would it cost if a few of us chip in a buck or two? I'd be happy to do that.

After we all experienced this for 4-5 days, how do we make this happen? I wanted to search a couple of issues through those days where the info was not archived in the Kettle Clinic. PayPal ready for member donation here.

Message suzsmokeyallan, he's the only mod who gets on here regularly I think.
I seem to recall this subject being broached before, and it went quiet.

Has anyone messaged a mod with the clout to do anything?

this forum isn't what it use to be in my opinion.
hardly anyone post regularly.
it use to be a lively forum.ask a question within a few hours you got answers but now your lucky if you get one in a couple of days.
so I certainly wont contribute.

Us old guys are slowly aging out. If we don’t do something this forum might someday disappear. I’m up for contributing some $$ every year so that doesn’t happen.

I still think this is a great forum. It is my favourite! It doesn't need thousands of regular contributors to be useful in keeping Suzuki smoker history alive. But I think it needs to be more reliable. I have messaged suzsmokey and waited for weeks, but he has not replied. :(
I am still willing to chip in a few quid to help.
So I have now messaged 3 other moderators. With a bit of luck one of them will be able to help and will reply.

Yep, that's what happened not all that long ago to the VJMOG, a multi make bike forum. The old Sundial site was the first forum I was registerd with (different user name then), even before I joined the VJMOG in 2008. Between Sundial and Muzza's site back then, I gained a lot of knowledge on the first two stroke bike I ever owned....saved me a lot of time and frustation.

I don't 'do'...never joined, typical social media sites.....I have my own reasons.

Here is hoping for a continuing long run for the Sundial site and Thank You sportston for your attempts on contacting those that may be able to give answers about an expansion on the monthly bandwidth.
