My Santa Fé v's Audi A3

Post by Alan H »

Full story HERE
But suffice to say that My Santa Fé was hit up the ar$e (we do things different in the UK) by a truck propelled Audi. Looking at the comparisons, I will never buy an Audi - they only look tough - Vorsprung durch crap. I don't know if you have the 'Vorsprung Durch Technik' adverts in the states, but they are clearly wrong!
Fortunately both my passenger and I are OK and all the Suzuki parts in the boot are fine too. The Audi however isn't - see the pics! even the truck didn't look too good. See pics on the link.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Some years ago I had the second car in a 4 vehicle pileup.
The car in the front took the least force because of the domino effect & the little resistance to pushing it out of the way.
In my case the first car (in front) had minimal damage. My car wasn’t too bad. The full-size pickup behind me was toast. The last car was fairly bad.
The last car ran into the pickup. The crumpling of the pickup reduced the impact on my car. The damage to my car reduced the impact on the first car.

As you mention 'over there', a drop of Glenfiddich can work wonders with the recovery ! 8)
