Agreed Dave! I was all set to sign on a few years back, until I realized it would be a 3,000 mile ride just to get from where we're at to their starting point! Someday you will have to swing by my place and we will make that long trek. Looks to be very scenic from the pictures Allan. Thanks for sharing.Suzukidave wrote:It would be nice to get in on one of these trips some day

Hey Allan,
Another successful journey by the look of things. You always seem to luck out with the weather - certainly makes biking more enjoyable.
Thanks for posting. I think it's great when members share photos of their rides. After all, this is what the beasts were built for

Re: Another successful summer tour
Thanks for all the comments, yes the weather was excellent and there was no rain, so the conditions as seen in the photos are definitely correct. I used to do those summer tour rides in western Canada on one of the Buffalos but it got tiring visiting gas stations in every town you came to.
Since most places are around 100 miles apart, you know you will need gas in every town. To add to that everyone else had more modern bikes which made just keeping up with other riders even worse on the fuel economy aspect of things.
These two trips in total were approx 2500 miles of riding, a decent bit of fun indeed and another year well spent having some great bike touring.
I just had another successful bit of riding in North Carolina last week, so I'll see about getting some of those photos up as well shortly.
