It has an interesting mix of custom and other year parts. I especially like how they treated the seat and frame tail, making a grab bar which is 100% scrambler feel.

Did it start out as a 1970 T500?

Both bikes are fantastic, the scrambler unexpectedly so because it looks so right, too.

The racing is awesome as ever taxi aéroport....Michael Dunlop won yesterday's Super bike race, with the first ever sub 17 minute lap, and an average speed of over 133 mph. Just unbelievable !

I enjoyed the Classic TT last year and that's why we're going again this August - plans for several Kettles and a 550 are already in place. Only another 2 months to go.
I will be in the Caribbean and Barbados next year again and hope to meet up with Allan for the most successful bets a meal and beer (or three!)
Deals Gap is on the wish list - as is Route 66, pity they don't have classic 2 strokes to do it on. I get vibration white finger when subjected to heavy vibration, so might not be able to ride a Hardly Ableson for a long distance....
That's a shame really... those vibrations always appear at the worst time to do that.

The outright lap record has already been surpassed. Dean Harrison was forced to retire the Silicone Engineering ZX-10R Superbike (clutch failure) on lap four after setting an outright lap record of 134.432mph from a standing start on the first lap. Michael Dunlop with a new 600cc lap record of 129.197mph and Peter Hickman (Superstock 1000cc) with his final lap being a stunning new lap record of 134.403mph, just outside Harrison’s outright lap record from Saturday’s Superbike race.

There is talk that a +135mph lap will be needed to win the Senior on Friday. Worth a watch on TV if you can catch it. You can also listen to the live action and monitor the live timing with Manx Radio http://ttlive.iomtt.com/

Cheers Geoff

The lap times are incredible, especially Dean Harrison's on his first lap.

These guys are a different breed. I mean, Freddie Frith did the first 90+mph lap in 1937 with only about 45bhp, effectively on bicycle wheels with rock-hard tyres, on an appalling road surface. If I took my SV650 right now to the TT, and had a flying lap on the closed circuit, I wouldn't get anywhere near Frith's lap time.
