Free BBQ Grill

Grilling tip
As every Southerner knows, come next spring it will time to get ready for that all-important cooking technique of the south --- outdoor grilling!
I have just found out there are many stores (not just in the South) where you can get a FREE Bar-B-Q grill! In these tough times free useful items are very welcome. You can get a free BBQ grill from any of the following stores:
A&P
Albertsons
Costco
Dan's
Food Lion
Fry's
Home Depot
Big Lots
Brookshire's
Lowes
Publix
Safeway
Sam's Club
Tesco
Target
Vons
Trader Joe's
Wal-Mart
Winn-Dixie
I especially like the higher rack -- which can be used for keeping things
warm!
Just make sure to get a metal one... the plastic ones don't do so well.

Hint.
That design is good for the back yard, but a little bulky to travel with. However, if you take the rear swinging section off the rest of the cart and flip it horizontal, resting on a couple cinderblocks placed on each side of fire, you have an excellent chome plated cooking surface, with built in handles. And once you are done, let it cool, stick it in a garbage bag for the ride home, then clean it with a pressure washer.
Wanna guess how I know this works?

I saw a blurb on TV with Dan Aykroyd cooking something. He has a Hibatchi hooked onto the back of his bike (71 Electrglide) for road trips and the saddlebags have bottles of his wine chillin!

Actually I have two of them hanging in the shed right now, one off a large cart, one off a small one. They are a whole lot more heavy duty than the ones you can buy in the camping section of Wally-World. Plus the price is right, you can normally find damaged/scrapped carts out back of a lot of stores.

But everything you cook tastes like Paint.
There aren't too many of those free ones in this county.
Already have a Hard enough time dodging the law much less than to grab one of those.

Don't put food directly on the chromed parts. Nasty chemicals get released.

I think all the decent ones are stainless......and the high end ones are porcelainized cast iron. I have a Falcon Mark 5 BBQ that's now 35+ years old with the porcelainized grills and they still look like new....when I get around to cleaning 'em.

I don't know what they are, but we were warned countless times in scouts not to use oven racks or racks out of refrigerators (of course, I haven't checked with Snopes!). If you put a skillet on top of the rack, it's fine.

I don't know what they are, but we were warned countless times in scouts not to use oven racks or racks out of refrigerators (of course, I haven't checked with Snopes!). If you put a skillet on top of the rack, it's fine.

I think your right Lane , i bet a bunch of the carts arnt chrome but Zinc plated and i bet thats not too good to eat ?
