my a100 is maui blue. although it's difficult to tell in the poor light the headlight and rear shock sleeves are original and the tank and forks are rattle can.
the paint is motomaster nearmatch ford pickup truck medium blue. in the light of day you can't see a difference. a non suzuki colour match is possible.

if you think it's ratty check out the first day home photo.

I am restoring my T500M & I'm doing the painting. Total cost to paint tank / injection tank & plastic side cover is $125 if you add striping kit & various stickers etc total cost is $200. Note! Included burning off existing paint / bead blasting & original paint matching

I took one of the badges off the tank. Under the badge the paint was the same color as the rest of the tank. I am going to order the Maui blue paint & proper decals & get the paint job done locally as I dont think Paul Miller's paint is a good match.

Several years ago, I bought a body set from PM. He provided super nice pics + story, everything looked OK for me. But the set had bad wrap and got damaged during shipping. Furthermore, inside of the fuel tank was not coated (just bare metal finish) and decals were not covered with clear coat as decribed. Old paint on the downside of fuel tank was not stripped, just painted over (same on the oil tank, paint contained bubbles because of gummed oil). And, cracked fuel cock mount was repaired with epoxy.
Well, finally I got the mount soldered, dents removed, white decal stripes strightened and was looking for matching paint. At the local Spies Hecker shop I was asked who the hell painted the tank in such a cloudy finish?
After that, I spent more than 9000 EUR in buying NOS T500-parts, but never from PM again.

Hi John,

thanks, I'm fine. BTW, this is your grab rail on my T500K:

That particular body set is not from PM. I managed it myself and it's not bone stock. Used the same blue as my BMW.

I bought the decals from reproductiondecals.com, Andre and his shortie provide great stuff and super service.

You can add the decals yourself, just read carefully their instructions. E. g. bring the body set to local painter, match the color and let him do his job. Allow paint to dry at least 3 weeks, wet sand the clearcoat using 1000 grit, add the decals and bring everything back to the painter for additional 3 clearcoats.

If he is using high end products, he will have over $400 in materials.
