Yep Terry, trying to eat better, but not fanatical about it. Still enjoy things I really should not eat, just do not enjoy them near as often. I already got plenty of exercise before the surgery and have not slacked up any. I think that has made the biggest improvement on the recovery effort. On some meds, one to thin the blood(only an asprin a day), one to make the heart beat slower but work more efficient with each pump(always had a rapid heartbeat even at rest) and one to lower bad cholesterol(genetics at work there, numerous heart issues on Mom's side of the family).

That and a positive attitude that this is just a temporay life issue to work through. And so far, the combination has worked for me. :lol:

Open heart surgery? 46 year surviver!

Congratulations! It's a very scary thing for a middle aged person.
I had open heart surgery 46 years ago last April. Just fun for a 9 year old.

Congratulations, Kevin, I can understand you very well....my 3° anniversary of "the hole in skull" will be in september.
But, hey, we are here around, STILL!!
