This was a true conversation I had from two weeks ago.
I was telling Susan, a good female friend of mine, that finding someone worth dating is difficult at my age.
Her response was to compare dating to deer hunting, so I would understand it better.
She said if I expected to get a deer, first I would have the right clothing and equipment, and then I would go hunting where the deer are actually at, and hunt effectively, right? After all, just because I want to
get a deer, does not mean they are going to come to me and surrender.
She also said not to expect a deer if I restrict myself to
hunting repeatedly in a small area, hoping next time one will just be
there, when I have never seen one there before.
Dating works the same way.
It is a shame Susan is already married....:^)
