Craftsman tools at Ace Hardware?

Post by Coyote »

Ace hardware (at least the one here) has picked up the Craftsman tool line. I asked some pointed questions.
Is Sears no longer selling Craftsman tools? Yes they are.
How did you get in on a trademark name? I can't say.
This is all the same stuff? Yes.
She went on to tell me that all the tools are priced the same as Sears. I somehow doubt that but haven't had time to verify my suspicions. Ace is generally higher than anyone else in town on any given item.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

K-Mart bought Sears, and now Sears is in trouble. It's probably legit and an attempt to keep the Craftsman tools out there when Sears may not last.
