going to see if my old bike is still around. the one I had back in the 70's.
it was for sale at one time but I was already half way through my other.

I got over that itch several years ago. After 18 years of seperation I bought back the same 76 GT550 that I originally bought in 77, and then sold about five years later. :D

We are all very different. Doesn't matter how much in love I am with a bike or how reluctant I am to sell it, when it's gone it's gone.

Doesn't mean I don't miss it or don't remember it fondly, but can't say I really regretted selling a single bike - apart from the pricing issues of course.

goferit Johnny...there isn't a bike I've sold that didn't wish I still had! Get back on a decent 2 stroke!

And what if the charging system on the next one you find isnt working either.
I seem to recall that was one of the main reasons you sold the last T500 you had John.

I got that sorted out.
had one wire going now where and that was the one doing all the charging.
the reason I sold my ol T was that I had 3 bikes in my garage.
the ol T on many occasions I nearly came a cropper in the corners.
braking to late not relizing that the brakes are any where near as good as the modern bike.
if I get another I will not over load it with chrome and I will modernize it not to much though, just enough so that I can put the bike back to standard.I may even go for a GT500 if it cheap enough.
I have all sort of ideas in my head (yes it may come as a suprise to you that I can think  ).
it all depend on the cash. I'll try and save as much as I can from selling my rials etc .once I've got about £1500 then I'll be on a look out
who knows I may even change my mind but it has been some that I've wanted to do. I still like two stroke and for me the T500 is the best out of the bunch!

Got to agree with that logic. After a GT750, a 500 is the best two stroke out there....

Or should that be after an Aprilia RS250, it's the ...

Or after any Yamaha twin, it's still a poor second if that. oops Did I let that slip.

And that's me just thinking about having a drink.

The best bike is usually the one we have right now and if it isn't, we should change the bike or adjust our attitudes. None of them are perfect, so we look for one that matches who we are or want to be at a particular time.

If that's what you want right now, go for it.

For simplicity in design the T500 is as easy as it gets, no fancy anything just a basic bike, but the GT750 just has that beat hands down in all areas.
Theres more bike, more complexity and more rider refinement, by 1970s standards anyways.

I had my eye on this not to buy just to see what it will fetch!
look like these bikes just might be out of my price range.£1600=$2460!
them expansion pipes cost around £400 here by gibson.
