Relocating To Michigan

Post by desmocat »

Effective 20 Jul 09 I will be transferring to the BAE Systems facility in Sterling Heights MI. That means Shoemaker Vintage Racing will be moving; lock, stock and 2-strokes from Northern California to South East Michigan.

I plan to settle the Southfield, will need to find a house to buy there.

Last weekend I went to my new home track, Gratten to watch the AHRMA races.

Seeing that I'm moving I won't be attending Mid-O this year, in fact I'm taking the entire year off from racing.

Hey Ralph,

So are congratulations in order? Was this a promotion or a going where the work is kind of thing? Hopefully it was a promotion!

Sorry to hear you won't be at Mid-Ohio. I'm on the fence about racing there this year. The weather was horrible for the license school at Beaverun this June so I didn't go. There's a race school at NJMP on July 16 that would still allow me to preregister (they moved the deadline out to the 17th) but that's cutting it close.....

Any other Sundial folks going to be racing at Mid-Ohio this year?

Jim,

Congratulations are in order, I didn't get a promotion but I'll be doing a job I like. Plus the fact the company is downsizing in California made Michigan seem all the more attractive.

Next year will be the year for racing once settled in.

Well then CONGRATULATIONS!

I will ask for forgiveness in advance - given your job entails working on military hardware and you said you were relocating to Michigan, my first thoughts were you would be involved in something like this as a project:

If so, please remember to ask for a DVD of the initial demonstration rather than being within range for the first tests....

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........
