Ordered new tires/tubes for Pinky from Tires Unlimited, Ohio, late Sunday night. UPS delivered them a couple minutes ago. Plus I saved 30-40% over buying the same tires locally.
I love it when a plan comes together. Now I just have to get them mounted and balanced.
On the other hand the coils I bought off a guy in Ca. for my son's bike on the 25th, which were shipped USPS on the 26th have yet to arrive.

I went with the combination of sticky and long lasting.
I ignored the fat part. Fat don't fit.
Bridgestone Spitfires. I put new ones on the 550 two years ago and liked them. Of course it had worn out 20 year old Chen Shin's, so anything was an improvement. Lane already had them on the the Pinky when I bought it so I figured, why change.

I got a spare new tire for my 550 yesterday. I went into the Suzuki shop to order some other parts and they had a stack of tires on clearance for $10 each!!
I could only find one useful size to me and that was a dunlop k591s 110 100 18. It is a V speed rated tire so I'll probly have to get another v rated for the front when I use it . But hey....for 10.00 i just couldn't let it sit there.

Spitfires work really well on most of my bikes. I keep BT45s on Blueboy and the RD, but the Spitfires are great.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.
Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........
In teh real world what is the difference between Spitfires and BT45. Are the 45's much more "sticky" and allow much higher cornering speeds or is it hard to tell teh difference on the street?
Terry I tried to send you a PM about the tires and do no know if you got it.. Anyway I am going to take a ride to Canada on the GT in August and if you guys think the tires will be good for that I would like to buy them if they are still available.... I am leaving early in the morning riding up to Colorado Springs and ride up Pikes Peak, so I will be gone for the next 8-9 days... I will check any messages Thursday when I get to a friends house.. I am taking my time and riding all secondary roads and no interstate...
Thanks..
I was out of town this weekend. The tires are Spitfires S11 bought back in Nov/Dec store in-doors. Mfg sometime last year IIRC as we had a discussion about Spitfires.
I will send you a PM back at ya.

Maybe poker's not your game, Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest~

Allen, make sure you've got your Aerostitch gear on and, just maybe, your heated stuff, too. The huge cold front that's screwing up OUR weather also reaches down south as far as north Texas. At altitude, it'll be chilly early and late in the day. Who'da thunk in June......
