Nothing quite like the look of a freshly plated (cadmium in this instance) pail of bits ! :D

Hello Ian...looks good, any reason why you went with Cad plating as opposed to zinc? I thought pretty well all the bits and pieces on the 500 or any Suzuki of that era were all zinc plated with the exception of a few pieces, ie the spokes.

Couple of reasons I guess Fred - it was the same price as zinc (pretty cheap actually), and I think that it looks better and should stay looking better longer. Its a cold white finish, versus having a slight blue white cast as the commercial zinc plating often does. My two prior batches of bolts were done in zinc and this time I just decided to try something a bit different. The tools especially turned out well - and unless they are along side each other I suspect most people can't tell the difference anyway. This is a shot of a batch I had done in zinc, and the cross spacers done in yellow zinc - the yellow zinc ones look a bit mottled in the flash but actually look fine in normal light. 8)
