Media Blaster Opinions

Just for occasional home use. Here's what I'm hoping it'll do:
Sand - for stripping paint/rust from vehicle chasis parts
baking soda - for cleaning carburetors

Any advice welcome

Those make a mess so you need to have a large open area with no close neighbours to annoy with the dust and noise.
If the parts you plan to clean are restricted to a certain size you should consider this unit instead.
Its enclosed as you can see and big enough for quite large pieces to still fit into it.

You will need a vacuum system and a compressor, plus it works with the glass media, baking soda or walnut shells. I put a 3/4 inch base onto mine at the end of the legs and added casters as well so now I have an extra lower shelf and it rolls nicely.
