well I did it!!!!!!!!
put a deposit down.
just hope I've done the right thing.
I shall not be restoring her like I did before.
will tidy her up and get her running etc.
and maybe over the coming years do it up.
later I will put the front end off a GT500 on her as I like stopping fairly quickly for corners!
but all this will depends if I'm happy with her.fingers crossed. john

the bike is here in the UK.
he was asking around £1650($2750) for it.
there are 8 folks are enquiring about it!
he said I can back out if I want to.
I hope he doesnt decide to increase the price!
I've got to becarefull here as I dont want to bite off more than I can chew.
in other words I can no longer throw money at it like I did with my other bike.
he is sure that the engine does turn over but will check when he manage to get at the bike,
from the pictures the bike looked good but as you know pictures dont show every thing.
do you think the price is good??
uk guys can answer to!

I ask Rick about 10 question like tyres, seat etc.
he got 60 bikes to get through and about 200 questions.
the only answer got was I'm sure it'll kick over and doesnt remember if it got the side panel for it or not.

John,

Let me know what else it's missing when you get it home and I'll dig through my spares to see what I've got.

I've given it a miss due to him not answering several questions.
I cant afford to take a gamble .
he said that he paid £1200 for it and another £500 for import duties/tax .
he thinks he can get more for it ,so I said good luck.
if I was going to pay that kind of money ..
I would expect at least hear or see it running etc.
also I would have to have it delivered and get it registered and this alone would probably cost me another £175.
and with all other bits and bobs that is needed altogether this would push well over the £2000 mark.and I dont have that kind of money to throw away etc.
ah well just have to keep looking.
and thanks for the offer of bits/bobs. john

John,

Sorry it didn't work out. It does seem you may not be finished with those old motorbikes after all though! :D

oooh far from it. I'm still on a look out.
I'll get one eventually.

for some reason I have my doubt about his payment on that 500.
in that condition they usually sell in the USA from what I've seen just under and less than $1000 not $1950!and $830 in tax. and selling it to me for $2705 mmm wheres the profit?? he is not giving it away is he.
I might be old but not stupid and those of you think other wise shut it!
