You would have thought that Suzuki would have put a little more thought into the way the carbs are tied together at the bottom (74-77). A crappy looking piece of angle iron shows no class whatsoever.

That item was still in use up until 2000 on the Bandit 1200, except they upgraded it to two pieces of a somewhat smaller size and thickness angle iron.
After that the carbs had holes through part of the casting so two long 6mm bolts could be used with spacers to align the carbs.
It was more of a Mikuni thing than a Suzuki thing anyways. In the photo you can see the lower front one, the other is just visible at the upper rear.
You could substitute it for a nice piece of extruded aluminum, that should make the bike lighter as its definitely a heavy piece of angle.

That stamped Bandit stay is a huge improvement over the old angle iron POS on a GT750.
