Electrical ?

OK - I see a new section called 'Electrical' but evidently I don't have permission to view the contents. Is it a private party ?

OK - that's working now. I don't know that we needed a new section as it falls under either of the existing repairs or restoration threads, but whatever.

As originally suggested, I think what would be most useful would be if jabcb would be kind enough to distill several of his posts into one post listing the tests and expected measurements one would expect to see while trouble shooting a list of common problems. And then to make that post the first sticky - after that we can see where it goes. 8)

The problem is that in a few weeks the electrical related posts get quickly buried in the photos/restoration or repairs and most members dont know which one of the two of these to go looking into for the old info.
Lets try this new electrical section and see if we cant gather enough information into it that any one can now easily find and use.

Curiously enough, that is precisely why I suggested having the checklist as a sticky - it would be useful reference data on the 'how to' of what can be a frustrating area for many folks. Obviously everything can't be a sticky, but that is why we have moderators eh ?

On that topic, perhaps you could relocate Robert's schematic and parts list for the PEI replacement to the new section, and still as a sticky, as well as the schematic I think it was Coyote posted recently - if it could just be reposted by itself as a sticky I think would be perfect. 8)
