Thanks for all the prayers....

Post by Zook-e »

My Father just passed away a few minutes ago.

Karl Gerd Kalamaja

May 9th, 1931 to April 22, 2011

Karl G Kalamaja, Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend and so much more to so many. How can one come up with just the right words to describe the passing of someone who had touched the very soul of our brief existence so profoundly. Someone who bestowed upon us the knowledge and legacy we are now expected to bestow upon others. A knowledge gained through life’s experiences, study failures and triumphs. In each one of us who has met Karl there will always be a part of him. A Legacy as you will. Be it small or large. Somewhere down the line maybe a brief moment, we stop, think and remember. Karl has not really left us. He will always be there in whatever he was to you. We got to grow with and experience Karl for a brief moment or a lifetime. We will surely miss him for our brief stay on earth but will see him again in Heaven. Thank you for the pleasure but this is not goodbye.

Thank you, Dad is at peace now. All of us left behind now need our time of mourning to remember the good times we shared with Dad. What I most remember is the party we had three weeks ago for Dad as his celebration of life. And was it a party. The largest gathering of family in decades. Devine guidance got us together for this.

We are mourning because we are left behind. We will be together again. Now we must continue with life as God and Dad would expect us to. So you can rest assured that I will be a Deal's Gap hoisting a few with my friends in Dads behalf. Hope you join me.

I know its no consolation but time is a good healer.

Guys, it's tough. He was everything to me and to our family. I know we don't live forever. Just doesn't make it any easier. I will see him again.

Your support and prayers make things so much easier to deal with. No one should be without friends in this world and I consider you all my friends. Thank you.

I think you came up with the words Eric. I sense your love and loss for your Father. God bless you! Doug
